For this project, I designed a typeface based on my name. “Yen Pot” is an anagram of my name, Peyton, and the name of the typeface that I handcrafted and then modified in Adobe Illustrator. These are the initial sketches I created for the typeface, utilizing the catchphrase “Teapot My Nosy” (an anagram of my full name) as placeholder text. I created three initial considerations for the font design but ultimately decided to pursue the middle design.
I scanned in this sketch and modified the font in Adobe Illustrator, creating a whole font family.
Next, I created a series of digital designs to accompany the font, as shown below.
I used these digital designs to create a series of collages and photos, as shown below.
Using these elements as raw material, I designed two variations of promotional posters for the font, featured below.
